Scholarships at a glance
Corporate
Scholarships
In the
past, a number of groups have offered scholarships based entirely
or partially on the results of the Department of Education
Scholarship Examination (see: crown
scholarships). Interested and eligible students should
apply directly to the sponsoring group. Names of applicants
are submitted by the sponsors to High School Certification,
and the students are ranked based on the Scholarship Examination
results. These rankings are sent back to the sponsoring body
who makes the final decision. In some cases students may need
to be affiliated to the scholarship granting body through
their parents in order to be eligible. The following sponsors
offered scholarships in 1999. Further details should be obtained
from the organization itself.
