Comments from Students

Before students started their claymations they were given a reading assignment that talked about how to do a claymation. Click here to view the reading they were given.

Students then formed their groups and brainstormed ideas. After the initial first classes they were to hand in the following:

Group 1 - "Claystation"

 Title of Claymation: Nightmare!

Outline of claymation idea:

A monster is in bed asleep. He dreams of a human boy under his bed and he is very scared.

Group 2 - "Iunno"

Title of Claymation: Disco is Dead

Outline of story:

Man is walking down the street. He is dancing to disco music. He goes into a disco and a disco ball falls on his head.

Group 3 - "Team Zack"

Title of Animation: Up Up and Away

Painted outdoor scene sunny day. Clown female action blows up balloons and ties to a fence Floats up in air.

Group 4 - "Groupnumberfour"

Title of Claymation: Monkey business

Setting: Sidewalk

Monkey and a man

Monkey walking down road eating banana drop peel and climbs tree man comes and slips on the banana and falls down cloud of dust. The sound is a man whistling as well as corny music with a laughing monkey.

Title of Animation: Apollo 15 1/2

Outline of claymation idea:

Spaceship is on launch pad and spaceship launches. Then a bird is flying and bird goes into engines and ship explodes and spaceman is propelled to mars and duck lands next to him and has no feathers. Martian comes up to him “you a long way from home” and then the spaceman looks up at the stars.
