On Remeberance day weekend The St. John's Legends are hosting a Provincial swim meet in which all teams from the island will be in attendace, St. Pierre Drakkers will be attending as well. Swimmers will finallyget to test their skills for the years first major event. Aproximately 150 swimmers will attend the St. John's Legends Fall invitational.

In mid December Swim Newfoundland and Labrador (SNL) will take 12 swimmers to the Ontario Age Groups. These swimmers are the provinces best hopes for the Canada Games later this year. Time standards are a requirement for this meet, Ontario 'A' standards. These standards are fairly hard to obtain, and only Newfoundland's top swimmers will attend this meet.

Early Febuary Brandon Manitoba will host this years Junior Nationals. Brandon Manitoba is also the host for this years Canada Games. This will be by far the hardest meet of the year to qualify for. Time standards were set last year according top the world percentage charts. This swim meet will have hundreds of swimmers from all over Canada in attend ance. The only meet harder to qualify for than this one is Senior Nationals.

This will probably be the years last short course swim meet. All swimmers that have Newfoundlands 'AAA' times can attend. At the end of the meet SNL awards the years top female and male swimmers for Newfoundland and Labrador. This is the most prest igious award for swimmers in Newfoundland. Last years male winner was Robbie Tennent from the St. John's Legends, and the female winner was Suzanne Drodge.
