Prince of Wales Collegiate will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2010-11. The school first open in September 1960 and was then called The United Collegiate. The official opening ceremony took place on November 9, 1960. In 1963 it was re-named Prince of Wales Collegiate.

The celebrations will start in 2010 and will continue for a full year. Many activities are already in the planning stages and undoubtedly more will be added in the near future.
